The second incarnation of the Toyota Sienna minivan first appeared to the general public in January 2003 at the North American Auto Show, and only reached the market in March 2004. Compared to its predecessor, the car has grown in size, has become more attractive in appearance, received a more functional interior and has replenished its arsenal with new "gadgets".

In the summer of 2005, as a result of an update, the monocab was transformed inside and out and acquired new options, in 2007 it “registered” a modernized engine under the hood, and was produced until December 2009.

The second generation Sienna is a five-door minivan with a seven- or eight-seater saloon.

The car is 5105 mm long, its wheelbase fits into 3030 mm, and the width and height are 1966 mm and 1750 mm, respectively.

When equipped, the Japanese "family man" weighs from 2000 to 2053 kg, depending on the modification.

On the 2nd generation Toyota Sienna, there are exclusively petrol V-shaped "sixes" with a volume of 3.3 and 3.5 liters with distributed injection, a variable valve timing system and a 24-valve timing chain with a chain drive, producing 233-269 horsepower and 328-332 Nm of torque potential.

The car is available with an uncontested "automatic" for five gears and two types of drive - front and permanent on four wheels with a standard distribution of traction along the axles in equal shares.

The second "release" Toyota Sienna XL20 is based on the front-wheel drive chassis "Toyota K" with a transversely mounted engine in the front part.
The machine is equipped with independent front and semi-independent rear suspensions - MacPherson struts and an H-shaped twisting beam, respectively.
The steering complex of the rack and pinion structure on the minivan is supplemented by a hydraulic booster by default.
The wheels of the front axle have ventilated discs on the single-volume wheel, and the rear - drum mechanisms (in the "top" and all-wheel drive versions - disc). In all modifications, the car "flaunts" ABS, EBD and BAS.

"Sienna" of the second generation is distinguished by high reliability, pleasant design, comfortable interior, good equipment, decent driving characteristics, powerful engines and excellent dynamics.
But the car also has disadvantages - high fuel consumption, impressive external dimensions (which sometimes interferes in the city) and the lack of a spare wheel.
