At the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, the Korean automaker SsangYong Motors presented its vision for replacing the frame pickup Actyon Sports in the face of the SUT 1 concept. to contemplate a new version of the "Sports Action".
Korean engineers managed to preserve the frame structure of the novelty (a rarity among new SUVs), for which, you can be sure, all Russian buyers of Ssang Yong Actyon Sports New will be ready to shake hands with the manufacturer. At the heart of the new Sang Yong Aktion Sport pickup is a frame from the previous generation of the model, the designers did not even change the wheelbase and left a continuous axle behind.
But the outer dimensions of the pickup have slightly increased and are now: length - 4990 mm, width - 1910 mm, height - 1790 mm, base dimensions - 3060 mm. The minimum ground clearance is 188 mm at the front and 212 mm at the rear. The dimensions of the cargo area of the body of the new Sang Yong Aktion Sport are 2 m². The design of the front of the new pickup has something in common with its brother in the concern - "New Actyon".
Only now, in the case of New Actyon Sports, the appearance is more "brutal and masculine." Large headlights of the head light are echoed, of the same immodest dimensions, foglights located in the lower edges of the bumper. The two-level false radiator grille is beautifully packed in a mesh mesh, the lower duct is stylishly framed by a black plastic arch. An unpainted plastic protection surrounds the entire body of the SunEng New Action Sport (bumpers and side skirts). The V-shaped bonnet with striking, distinctive ribs transitions into the front fenders with powerful wheel arches located in them. The profile of the new Aktion Sport is with smooth and straight lines of the pickup body, only the sidewall is decorated with a concave stamping at the level of the door handles, which becomes brighter and deeper on the panel of the cargo compartment.
The back of the new Ssangyong Aktion Sport is simple, functional and practical. Rear lighting poles, an austere bumper and a wide side of the luggage area, providing the most convenient access for loading into the body of a pickup truck.
The cargo compartment is fully protected by plastic clothing. As an option, a roof is offered - a superstructure (kung) of a pickup body. The exterior of the New Actyon Sports received a new, more modern look, while remaining a real pickup truck with off-road potential.
Inside the SsangYong New Actyon Sports 2012 model year, only the details have changed. The instrument lighting became brighter and clearer, the shape of the air ducts changed from round to rectangular, a color information display appeared in the center of the console (optionally with navigation and image output from the rear view camera).
Otherwise, the internal filling of the new Aktion Sport demonstrates the high quality of the materials used, a decent level of assembly and the presence of a lot of useful and necessary functions. Multi-wheel, climate control, cruise control, electric mirrors with heating and folding function, heated and electric front row seats, leather interior, on-board computer, electric sunroof, parking sensors. Responsible for safety are ABC and EBD with rollover protection. The dimensions of the cabin can comfortably accommodate five passengers, including the driver.
Specifications. The chassis of Sang Yong New Action Sport has not undergone any changes, inherited from the previous generation of the model. Front independent suspension on double wishbones, at the rear dependent on trailing arms with Panhard rod. Front and rear disc brakes.
For the novelty, there are two power units:
- diesel 2.0 l. e-XDI (155 hp), paired with new 6 manual transmissions or 6 automatic transmissions,
- gasoline 2.3 liters. (150 hp), only with 5 manual transmissions.
The gasoline engine will be offered exclusively for cars sold in South Korea. So in Russia only diesel New Actyon Sports will be available (the power of which will be "adapted" to Russian taxes - that is, "derated" to 149 hp (360 N • m).
The manufacturer claims an average consumption of 6.5 liters of diesel fuel. Dynamic characteristics of the new Aktion Sport "diesel": up to "hundreds" of 16 sec. at a maximum speed of 165 km / h.
Drive type 2WD (only for Europe) or 4WD (for all, with a rigidly connected front axle), i.e. we will not have single-drive versions.
Price. In the Russian market, the cost of this pickup in 2012 starts from ~ 779 thousand rubles (basic configuration). The price tag for Sang Yong New Action Sport in the maximum "Luxury" configuration will be approximately ~ 1,310 thousand rubles. Domestic buyers were offered cars produced at the facilities of the Sollers Far East plant, which operates according to the SKD method.
