The "charged" hatchback Ford Fiesta ST of the second generation, built on the basis of the "civil" model of the sixth incarnation, made its world debut in March 2012 at the Geneva Motor Show, but its conceptual version was first shown back in September 2011.

In the world's leading markets, the car went on sale in 2013, and was produced unchanged until 2016, when it completed its "life path".

The "second" Ford Fiesta ST is a subcompact hatchback (B-class by European standards) with a three- or five-door body.

The length of the "lighter" is 3975-4056 mm, its width extends to 1709-1722 mm, and its height reaches 1456-1495 mm.

The distance between the pairs of wheels in the car is 2489 mm, and the clearance under the "belly" is 130 mm. When equipped, it weighs 1163 kg, regardless of the number of doors.

Specifications. The "heart" of the ST-version of "Fiesta" is a four-cylinder petrol engine of the EcoBoost family of 1.6 liters with a turbocharger, phase shifters at the inlet, direct injection and 16 valves, generating 182 "horses" at 6500 rpm and 240 Nm of torque at 1600 -5000 rpm.
The entire power reserve from it goes to the wheels of the front axle by means of a "manual" gearbox for six gears.

The first "hundred" is conquered by the second generation Ford Fiesta ST after 6.9 seconds, its maximum speed is limited to 220-223 km / h, and fuel consumption in mixed mode does not exceed 5.9 liters per 100 kilometers.

At the heart of the "charged Fiesta" is the front-wheel drive chassis "Ford global B-car platform", which implies a solid use of high-strength steel grades in the structure. The car is equipped with an independent McPherson layout at the front and a semi-independent "walker" with a rolling cross member at the rear.
The hot hatch's rack-and-pinion steering is equipped with a variable electric power steering. The car has disc brakes on all wheels, but on the front axle with ventilation, supplemented by a "bouquet" of modern electronics (Brake Assist, ABS, EBD).

The second "release" of the Ford Fiesta ST boasts: striking appearance, excellent handling, excellent dynamics, high-quality assembly, low fuel consumption, rich equipment, generally confident behavior on the road and other advantages.
As for the shortcomings of the car, they include: a cramped rear sofa, a harsh suspension for Russian roads and expensive maintenance.
