Chinese manufacturers at the Detroit motor show are rare, but the GAC company often brings its new products overseas. So 2015 was no exception - the world debut of a compact crossover called "GS4" took place at the North American Auto Show, which should begin to develop the Russian market in the fall.
The appearance of the GAC Trumpchi GS4 is quite harmonious, it fully meets the current trends in automotive fashion. In the outlines of the exterior of the crossover, you can catch a lot of "quotes" from Korean, Japanese and European models, but in general, the "Chinese" looks interesting.
The dimensions along the outer perimeter of the car are as follows: length - 4510 mm, width - 1677 mm, height - 1677 mm. The wheelbase is 2690 mm and the ground clearance is 190 mm.
The interior of the Trumpchi GS4 crossover has a stylish and modern design - a multi-steering wheel, an informative dashboard with a color display and a large center console with a multimedia installation screen and an original air conditioning unit.
The interior of the crossover is finished with high-quality materials and is able to accommodate five adults. In the front there are comfortable armchairs with a "chilo" pronounced profile, and in the back there is a wide sofa with a central armrest.
The volume of the cargo compartment varies from 450 to 1410 liters, and with the rear backrest folded down, a flat floor is obtained.
In the "underground" of the luggage compartment there is a "spare wheel" with a jack, as well as various niches for tools.
Specifications. For the Trumpchi GS4, there are two petrol turbo fours to choose from - a 1.3-liter producing 137 horsepower and 202 Nm of torque, and a 1.6-liter generating 160 horses.
Both engines work in partnership with a 5-speed "mechanic" or 7-band "robot" that send traction to the front wheels.
The compact SUV is built on a front-wheel drive architecture with MacPherson struts in the front and multi-link suspension on the rear axle. The GS4's steering mechanism is equipped with an electric booster, and all wheels are equipped with disc brakes with ABS and EBD.
Options and prices. The GAC Trumpchi GS4 is expected to go on sale in the Russian market during 2019.
At home, the crossover is sold at a price of 99,800 to 146,800 yuan, while the "empty" car "flaunts" power accessories, central locking with remote control, standard "music" with four speakers, front airbags, rear parking sensors, air conditioning and ABS and EBD technologies.
