The second generation of "Frenchman" was born in January 2008, and a little later entered mass production.
In 2012, the model underwent an update, which was limited to only minor modifications to the exterior.
And in 2015 it was modernized again - this time the exterior, interior, technical "filling" and equipment were corrected.
Despite the fact that the “second” Citroen Berlingo Multispace looks like a typical “heel”, it is pleasant to look at it - it is cute, proportional, and also devoid of discordant elements.
The overall length of the car is 4380 mm, the width and height are 1810 mm and 1801 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase extends to 2728 mm. When equipped, the five-door weighs from 1400 to 1505 kg, and can take on board from 565 to 625 kg (including the driver and passengers).
The interior of "Berlingo" looks modern, nice and neat, and in addition, it is distinguished by solid materials and high-quality assembly. Inside the compact van, five adults can easily fit in, and the volume of its cargo compartment varies from 675 to 3000 liters.
For the second generation Citroen Berlingo utility vehicle, three engines are provided:
- Gasoline engines are atmospheric vertical "fours" with a volume of 1.6 liters with distributed injection and a 16-valve timing configuration, producing 110-120 "mares" and 147-160 Nm of maximum torque.
- The diesel version is a 1.6-liter unit with four "pots", turbocharging and Common Rail technology, which produces 90 "horses" and 230 Nm of torque.
All motors are mated with a 5-speed "mechanics" and front-wheel drive, and the diesel engine - also with a 6-band "robot".
Depending on the modification, the car gains 165-177 km / h, exchanging the first "hundred" after 12-15.5 seconds.
Gasoline cars "destroy" 7.3-8.4 liters of fuel in the combined cycle, and diesel cars - 4.6-5.7 liters.
At the heart of the Citroen Berlingo Multispace 2nd incarnation is the PSA PF2 platform with an independent MacPherson structure at the front and a rolling cross member at the rear. The car is equipped with disc brakes on each of the wheels (in the front - with ventilation), which are supplemented by ABS, EBD, BA and other electronics. The basic equipment of the compact van includes rack and pinion steering with an electric power amplifier with variable characteristics.
On the Russian market "Berlingo" in the cargo-passenger version is offered in the "Dynamique", "Tendance", "X-TR" and "Exclusive" trim levels at a price of 1,044,000 rubles.
By default, the car is equipped with: a pair of airbags, ABS, REF, AFU, power steering, audio preparation, two power windows and some other options.
