Before the next summer season, the Russian manufacturer of automobile tires produced under the Kama brand decided not to please the fans of its products with new models. In the 2015 season, only the time-tested summer tires "Kama" will be available on the market, with an overview of which we invite you to get acquainted.

Let's start with the model Kama Euro-129... This model of summer tires is aimed at compact and mid-size cars and is available in 20 standard sizes for rims with a diameter of 13 - 17 inches.

Euro-129 tires have been the flagship of the model range of summer passenger tires for several years, and during this time they have gone through several updates. As part of the latest modernization, Euro-129 tires received a more modern rubber compound with the addition of organosilicon fillers, which give the tires the elasticity and wear resistance corresponding to modern requirements at the level of imported analogues. The tread of summer tires Kama Euro-129 has an asymmetric profile pattern with a massive central zone, which ensures the preservation of directional stability; smoothed shoulder areas that reduce aerodynamic drag to save fuel; and offset to the edges by the wide longitudinal channels of the drainage system. The drainage of water from the central zone is provided by transverse channels located at an angle, having smooth contours and expanding outlets for self-cleaning from dirt and dust. In the shoulder areas, the tread shape of the Euro-129 tires contributes to effective braking and maintains precise control during cornering. At the same time, we note that the outer shoulder area is equipped with an additional longitudinal channel for effective drainage in turns. In general, Euro-129 tires demonstrate good grip on dry and wet asphalt, are not inferior to imported analogues in terms of braking efficiency and provide high-quality acoustic comfort.

For compact crossovers and SUVs operated primarily in urban areas, the manufacturer recommends tires Kama Euro-228, the use of which is also allowed in late spring and autumn.

The Euro-228 tires are based on a special combined structure, which has significantly reduced wheel weight. In addition, the Euro-228 model received a modern rubber compound with silicon-containing components, which guarantees it a long service life and good driving characteristics. The tread of Euro-228 tires was developed using the method of software modeling and received a bi-directional symmetrical pattern with an abundance of compact rigid blocks with additional reinforcements on the side surfaces. Together, this made it possible to create a large number of clinging surfaces that work effectively both when moving forward and when driving in reverse. For a full-fledged off-road trip, this model lacks only well-developed side lugs. As for the drainage system, the massive longitudinal channels are interconnected by transverse deep slots that drain water into the shoulder areas, where the outwardly widening grooves effectively remove it from the tread. With all the advantages of Kama Euro-228 tires, they also have one significant drawback - the limited number of available standard sizes designed only for 15-inch disks.

Another model of summer tires "Kama", which we would like to mention, is intended for crossovers and SUVs operated not only within the city, but also outside of it. Tires Kama Euro-235 are available in several standard sizes for 15 - 16-inch rims and differ from other models of the Kama off-road range by the original design of the directional tread pattern.

The Euro-235 tires received a rigid central rib, providing confident directional stability, and zigzag blocks that smoothly merge into the shoulder areas, which, in turn, are smoothed to improve aerodynamics from the outer edges, aligned with the side lugs. The drainage system of the Euro-235 rubber tread received two deep grooves framing the central rib, as well as curved outlet channels, the shape of which allows water to easily drain out of the contact patch. In addition, to prevent congestion, oblique longitudinal slots are located closer to the shoulder areas, facilitating the process of self-cleaning of the tread. As part of the latest update, Euro-235 tires received an improved rubber compound, which made it possible to improve handling, reduce rolling resistance and improve braking performance on a wet track, bringing the Kama Euro-235 indicators closer to the leading models of foreign manufacturers.
