The Audi TT RS is an "extreme" version of the compact premium sports car developed by the sports division of the German brand "quattro GmbH", which is available in several body modifications: coupe and roadster with a soft top ... The four-wheel drive two-door combines the "family" traditions of "Audi" and outstanding technical "stuffing" ...

The world premiere of the second generation "charged" TT RS, built on the basis of the third generation "civilian" model, took place in April 2016 at the Beijing Motor Show, and it only reached the Russian market in March 2017.
After the "change of generations" the sports car was transformed in the same way as the "less armed" TT and TTS, but in addition to this it "prescribed" a high-performance engine under the hood and received modern options.

"Er-esca" is instantly "identified" against the background of the basic Audi TT, and this is facilitated by an aggressive front bumper with large air intakes, a radiator grill with a honeycomb structure, a wing on the trunk lid, large oval exhaust pipes, 19-inch "rollers" of the original design and, of course, the RS nameplates.

The "second" Audi TT RS is available in two body styles - a coupe and a roadster with a soft roof. The length of the car is 4191 mm, of which 2505 mm is "occupied" by the wheelbase, its width reaches 1832 mm, and the height varies from 1344 to 1346 mm.

In the cabin, the "charged" two-door differs from ordinary "teteshecks" only by a more sporty steering wheel and bucket-shaped front seats, otherwise it repeats them - a laconic design with a minimum number of physical keys, luxurious finishing materials and an impeccable level of assembly.

The models have identical cargo-and-passenger capabilities: the closed version has "child" seats at the back, and the trunk volume varies from 305 to 712 liters, while the roadster has a strictly two-seater layout and a 280-liter "hold".

Specifications. The "heart" of the Audi TT RS of the second incarnation is an aluminum petrol "five" TFSI with a volume of 2.5 liters with combined fuel injection, a 20-valve timing, a turbocharger and a variable valve timing system, producing 400 "stallions" at 5850-7000 rpm and 480 Nm available torque at 1700-5850 rpm.
All this power is “digested” by the 7-speed “robot” S tronic with several clutches and the quattro all-wheel drive system with an electro-hydraulic Haldex clutch in the rear wheel drive, which actively distributes traction between the axles depending on driving conditions.

"Er-eska" has truly "supercar" driving characteristics: from a place to 100 km / h, it "shoots" in 3.7-3.9 seconds, and stops accelerating only when conquering 250 km / h (as an option, the "collar" can be moved to 280 km / h).
In mixed mode, the car "drinks" 8.2-8.4 liters of fuel per "hundred".

At the heart of the second generation Audi TT RS is an MQB bogie with an independent MacPherson architecture at the front, a multi-link at the rear and adaptive shock absorbers with variable stiffness in a circle (as an option).
By default, the two-door has a “short” steering rack with a variable gear ratio and an electromechanical power steering. The front wheels of the sports car enclose ventilated discs with a diameter of 370 mm, "clamping" eight-piston calipers, and the rear - 310-mm "pancakes" with ventilation and single-piston calipers.

Options and prices. The 2017 Audi TT RS Coupe is delivered to the Russian market in two solutions - Touring and Track (the roadster is not supplied to our country).

  • The "basic" version is estimated at 4,633,000 rubles, for which it is equipped with: airbags, a digital instrument cluster, two-zone "climate", leather interior, heated and electric front seats, 19-inch wheels, matrix LED headlights, a parking lot, Bang & Olufsen audio system with 12 loudspeakers and a bunch of other options.
  • For the "top" version they ask for 339 thousand rubles more, and among its features are an adaptive suspension, Audi Matrix OLED taillights, a sports exhaust system, carbon fiber decor and a speed limiter shifted to 280 km / h.
